I came across this tree in Spa, a Belgium city famous for its healing hot springs. At first, I was captivated by the colorful leaves, green in the center, yellow in the middle, and red branching out. The night before I took this photograph, it was snowing; not a big snowfall but by morning, the entire ground was coated white. In midmorning, the sun broke through the clouds and the snow began to quickly melt. It was nice to see the hard shadows in contrast with the lightened areas between the trees. As last fall drew to a close, I visited Jordan’s Beech Wood for second time. I hoped to find the forest covered by the typical seasonal colors, but the weather had other plans. By then, only the first leaves had started to turn yellow. However, this forest never disappoints, and in no time, I found myself strolling on its many paths and finding inspiration throughout.
