It can looks like the sea but Neptune's boat sits on the edge of Geneva lake, Switzerland. The lake it is about 580 km2, one of the largest lakes in Western Europe.
Maastricht is one of the oldest cities in The Netherlands. A few years ago, I had the opportunity to briefly walk around the Maas River. It was quite dark, raining, with an electric blue sky. Crossing one of the bridges, the Sint-Martinuskerk Church absorbed my attention, so I set up my tripod and captured this photo.
Nevers possesses a Roman Catholic cathedral dedicated to Saints Cyricus and Julitta and it is considered a French national monument. The present cathedral is a combination of two buildings, a Gothic and a Romanesque, magnificent examples of architecture.
